The idea of the turtle technique is to create a layer of flat dominoes above the ground, which can be easily collapsed in a visually appealing way by toppling the supporting dominoes underneath. Other domino techniques can be built on top of the turtle’s surface, but it should (obviously) be ensured that they are toppled before the turtle itself.

The concept of building a turtle arrangement is fairly straightforward but rather difficult to execute as the whole arrangement is fairly unstable.
